"A Joyful Day"

Respite Care

Our Mission:  To provide a safe and caring place for adults in need of supervision, allowing their caregivers time to themselves.

A Joyful Day Respite Care meets each Thursday from 10am to 2pm in the Fellowship Hall.  The day is filled with conversation, storytelling, music, crafts, games and so much more.  Trained volunteers are with the participants through the day.  A hot lunch is served.  The program is FREE to participants and their caregivers.  All participants must be ambulatory, the use of a walker or cane is acceptable, be able to feed themselves and use the bathroom independently.  No Nursing care is provided or medication administration is done by the volunteers.

There is an enrollment process with consent forms, guidelines and medical forms to be filled out by the participants and/or caregivers prior to being involved in the program.  This program is open to everyone in the community.

New volunteers are always welcome, as we strive to have one volunteer with each participant.
