Bible Study Offerings/Overview
A variety of Bible Study programs are offered at St. Mark by the Sea.
Some examples are listed below:
-Pastor conducts a weekly bible study, often offered both in the day and in the evening, typically on Tuesday.
- WELCA conducts a monthly Bible Study for our women members.
-During the seasons of Lent and Advent, a soup supper with a bible study discussion is offered after a brief Wednesday evening church service.
Current Bible Study
Bible Study is on temporary hiatus. Please check back for the dates of the next series!
Children's Sermon
During the Sunday Service, Pastor gathers the children to the altar and offers a unique child-centered message just prior to his regular sermon.
Individual Tote bags with crayons and activity sheets are provided during the service to the children, both members and visitors.
Sunday School
Sunday school classes build a solid, biblical foundation that are age-appropriate for K-8th grade. Classes vary from Sunday School to First Communion or Confirmation.
Sunday School meets between the two services from 10:00-10:50 for grades Kindergarten through 8th grade (throughout the school year.)
Pastor schedules individual instruction classes for First Communion or Confirmation instruction. For more information contact Sherri Hunter (sherridhunter@gmail.com)
WELCA Bible Study
Women of the ELCA host a monthly Bible Study to which all women of the congregation and their friends are invited to attend. The study is published in GATHER, the bimonthly magazine of WELCA. The Bible Study is a series of 4 or 5 sessions on a specific topic. We meet on the second Monday of each month from 9:30-11:00 am in Fellowship Hall and do Zoom for those up North.
-
Copies of Gather's study are provided; please find them on one of the shelves in Fellowship Hall. To subscribe to GATHER magazine (which contains the study), please call 884-409-0576 or email: gather@cambewest.com
Nursery
Nursery care during the Sunday service can be provided for children 3 and under.
Currently there is no nursery, but one can be reestablished when needed.
Pre-School
The St. Mark Christian Preschool has been in operation for almost 40 years.
We provide a safe, educational, and Christian environment for about 60 children by a trained staff dedicated to preparing every child for success.
We are a Gold Seal School and have a lower teacher/student ratio because of our Apple Accreditation.
We offer a full-time program 7:30 -5:30, 5 days a week, for ages 1 – VPK.
