Stewardship
To provide leadership in cultivating faithful and effective practices of stewardship (time, talent, resources) by all members of the congregation.
Ministry Opportunities
Mission Vince
Saint Vincent is the patron saint of the poor. St Mark has a ministry whose purpose is to help those in need by supporting other food assistance programs already operating in the area with labor offered to organizations by members of our congregation. The community at large has significant and ongoing nutrition needs that can be eased by combining our efforts with those of others in the area. Please see below for more detailed information or contact Donna Cobos at yvcobos@yahoo.com, or the Church office if you are interested in helping.
Congregation Recognition
Preparing "Stewardship Thoughts" for the Sunday bulletins and St. Mark's website.
Conducting various congregational surveys.
Workshops
Organizing Stewardship Workshops that guide the congregation to be good stewards of the earth and of God’s gifts, including talents, financial health and personal well-being.
Campaign
Establish and implement an annual stewardship plan for fundraising to support St. Mark’s general operating expenses, ministries and other various campaigns.

Palm Coast United Methodist Church (PCUMC) -- Our Father's Table Ministry
Provides hot meals for individuals and families in need. Volunteers are needed to help prepare take-out meals for pick-up or delivery to those in need. There are 2 ways to volunteer:
1) St. Mark Group Saturdays: SMBTS has a group volunteer day on the first Saturday of each month. We assist with cooking and plating of meals. We have two shifts at 9:00 am-1:oo pm and 1:00 pm-4:00 pm. Those wishing to volunteer should sign up in the Welcome Center 3-ring binder (Tab 8) by the Sunday prior to this group Saturday. Our Sunday bulletins and e-Lerts contain sign up deadline reminders. (On our Group Saturday, please wear closed toed shoes, a cap and/or pull your hair back -- if applicable.)
2) Independent Volunteer Saturdays: Volunteer opportunities exist for Saturdays aside from our SMBTS group Saturday. If interested, please call Michele Seyfert at 610-507-8061 from Our Father's Table at PCUMC and she will outline the various volunteer needs. Be sure to let her know that you are from St. Mark.
Flagler Beach United Methodist Church (FBUMC)
FBUMC serves as a supplemental food pantry for the needy in our community. They have volunteer needs such as staffing the pantry and collection of food from various vendors for drop off at the pantry. The pantry is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 am - noon and the first Thursday evening of the month. If you wish to volunteer, please call Patty Powell at 372-338-5013.
Food Pantry Collection
SMBTS is collecting various food and toiletry items for the FBUMC pantry to support those in need in our community. A "Feeding the Hungry" wagon is in the Welcome Center where you may place your donations. A list of suggested items can be found next to the wagon for you to take with you as well as shown below. We ask that food items not be past an expiration date of 6 months to meet the regulatory requirements set for the pantry.
All food and toiletry items are welcome, even if not listed. The following list are those items that the pantry is in most need of:
Food Items: treats (such as Jello, pudding, cookies); canned or boxed potatoes; canned meats (e.g. chicken, beef stew, SPAM); ramen noodles; ravioli products; children's cereals; cake mixes; raisins.
Non-food items: Aspirin, pet food for dogs and cats (dry and canned); cat litter; women's menstrual items; adult disposable briefs/pads (e.g. Depends, Women’s medium pull ups with and without tabs); toothpaste; soap; tissues; toilet paper.
Monetary donations are also welcome. Please make your check or ACH donation out to 'St. Mark by the Sea' and indicate 'Food Pantry Ministry' in the comment line or ACH notation.
